The second volume, 601pp including an Appendix, covers the reigns of Henry IV to James I. Both are bound in brown leather with titling and decoration at the spine. Both spines have five raised bands. The books have cracked spines and varying degrees of rubbing, scratching, wear, and staining to the covers. Bumping to the corners. Some areas of chipping and loss at the spine ends. Light toning to the internal pages. Scattered faint foxing throughout the text block. Sound binding and boldly signed by Floyd.

William Floyd (1734-1821) was an American Founding Father and wealthy politician from New York. He served as a delegate to the Continental Congress and was a signer of the Continental Association and Declaration of Independence. His home was confiscated and used as a base by the British following the invasion of New York in August 1776. Despite his English and Welsh roots, he clearly had an interest in Irish history as well.

Thomas Leland (1722-1785) was an Irish historian and Anglican priest. He was a skilled translator and translated the Orations of Demosthenes in 1756. Leland also authored one of the early gothic novels, "Longsword, Earl of Salisbury: An Historical Romance", which was published in 1762.

John Dunlap (1747-1812) was an early American printer who was the first to print the first broadside of the American Declaration of Independence two years following the publication of this book. He served in the Revolutionary War but would remain one of the most successful Irish-American printers of his time.
