[JFK] Five Eerie Sketches of JFK, RFK, & Oswald Signed by Convict Bardo

A group of six ink sketches on five pages, all measuring 8.5" x 11", no place [California], dated between November 2013 and December 2014. The sketches are done in black ballpoint ink. Three of the drawings are signed "Robert J. Bardo", while the images of Lee Harvey Oswald are signed "R. Ramirez". At a certain point in his artistry, Bardo resolved not to sign his name to any drawing he considered to be of an evil person, instead choosing to sign with a  pseudonym.

There are two sketches of Lee Harvey Oswald's mugshot, dated December 3 and December 16, 2014. Entitled "Sad, Tragic Historical Tragedies" and "Historical Tragedies". There are two separate sketches of John F. Kennedy, dated November 12, 2013 and December 18, 2014. Both are signed "Robert J. Bardo" with the series number H-21272. The final sheet contains two sketches of Robert F. Kennedy, dated February 24, 2014. Also signed "Robert J. Bardo" with the series number H-21272. From the collection of Ron Hoskins, assassinologist. All are in very fine condition.

Robert J. Bardo was convicted in October 1991 for the murder of actress and model Rebecca Schaeffer on July 18, 1989. His family had a history of mental illness, and Bardo himself suffered from bipolar disorder. At the time these sketches were made, Bardo was serving time in the maximum-security unit at Mule Creek State Prison in Amador County, California.
