A fascinating Italian language scientific journal describing the latest dirigible technology coming out of Benito Mussolini-controlled Fascist Italy. The issue is Vol IV, No. 4 of "L'Aerotecnica, Giornale ed Atti dell' 'Associazione Italiana di Aerotecnica'" [trans: "The Aerotechnics, Newspaper and Acts of the Italian Aerotechnics Association] (Pisa: Tipografia Editrice Cav. F. Mariotti), July 1926. Soft blue wrappers show expected wear including uneven fading and minor edge chips. The inner pages are edge-darkened but otherwise bright and clean. Else near fine. Written articles appear on p. 233-313. The booklet measures 6.75" x 9.75" x .25."

The feature article in this issue of "L'Aerotechnica" explores the latest Italian airship design in a chapter called "La Moderna Aeronave Italiana Tipo N" [trans: "The Modern Italian Type N"]. The issue also features more than 20 plates, graphs, and tables, including four 19.25" x 9.75" fold-out illustrations between p. 278-279. The Associazione Italiana di Aerotecnica [trans: Italian Aerotechnics Association] was established in July 1920 by scientists, engineers, aviators, and members of the Italian military to "promote and disseminate aeronautical research" in Italy. The organization founded its own scientific journal, "L'Aerotechnica" and regularly convened congresses, with the overall aim to bolster aeronautical research and development already significantly advanced in the country since World War I. The Associazione Italiana di Aerotecnica is still in operation today, albeit under the new name and form as the Associazione Italiana di Aeronautica Astronautica, or A.I.D.A.A.
