A group of ten pieces signed by presidents, first ladies, supreme court justices, politicians, and notables in history. The autographed material is neatly organized in a blue binder measuring 10" x 11" x 1". 

Listed by category, then in alphabetical order, the items include:

Presidential

1) Semi-glossy color photograph of 39th U.S. President James E. Carter (b. 1924) and First Lady Rosalynn Carter (b. 1927), signed in black felt tip on bottom border as “Rosalynn Carter” and “+ Jimmy Carter”. Printed on Kodak photo paper. Corner creasing, else near fine. 8” x 10”.

2) Glossy black and white photograph of 38th U.S. President Gerald R. Ford (1913-2006) and First Lady Betty Ford (1918-2011), signed in blue felt tip as “Gerald Ford” and “Betty Ford”. Printed on Kodak photo paper. Fine condition. 8” x 10”.

3) Glossy black and white photograph of First Lady Betty Ford (1918-2011), signed in blue felt tip as “Betty Ford”. A few tiny chips at edges, minor surface impressions, else near fine. 8” x 10”.

4) Typed Letter Signed by 31st U.S. President Herbert C. Hoover (1874-1964) as “Herbert Hoover”, 1p, on his personal letterhead, 7” x 10”, Stanford University, November 15, 1928. Expected mailing folds, browning, chipping at edges, slight fading to Hoover’s signature, else very good.

Hoover writes to Hazel D. Bowers, a senior at West Philadelphia High School, in response to her letter, which is included. In full, “I am grateful for your kind message of November 9. I deeply appreciate your good wishes, and your expression of confidence is most encouraging.” Also included is the original transmittal envelope and a Letter of Authenticity from Todd Mueller Autographs.

Supreme Court

5) William O. Douglas (1898-1980) signature, “Wm O Douglas”, on a Supreme Court card imprinted with “Supreme Court of the United States / Washington 25, D.C.” at top. Expected minor wear, else fine. 4.5" x 3.5".

6) Potter Stewart (1915-1985) signature, “Potter Stewart”, on a Supreme Court card imprinted with “Supreme Court of the United States / Washington 25, D.C.” at top. Minor uniform toning, else fine. 4.5" x 3.5".

Political

7) Powell Clayton (1833-1914) signed card, “Powell Clayton / Arkansas”. Mounted to a 3” x 5” index card bearing pencil notations from the previous collector. Light creasing to left edge, else fine. 4.25" x 2".

8) Richard Coke (1829-1897) signed card, “Richd Coke / Texas”. Mounted to a 3” x 5” index card bearing pencil notations from the previous collector. Light toning and expected wear, else near fine. 3.625" x 2.5".

9) Thomas T. Crittenden (1832-1909) signed card, “Yours Truly / Tho T Crittenden / Gov of Mo / April 21st 1881”. Mounted to a 3” x 5” index card bearing pencil notations from the previous collector. Adhesive residue at edges not affecting text, else near fine. 4.375" x 2.875".

Notables

10) Glossy black and white photograph of Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald signed, “To: Bill / James Leavelle” in blue felt tip. Dallas Homicide Detective James R. Leavelle (1920-2019) is pictured in a light-colored suit, handcuffed to Oswald. Printed on HP Advanced photo paper. Fine condition. 11” x 8.5”.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third Party Shipping Option: If a third party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers.
