1p autograph letter signed by Nathaniel Gorham (1738-1796), a Constitution Signer, Massachusetts delegate to the Continental Congress, and past president of that august body, as "Nath Gorham" at lower right. Dated December 10, 1771 and addressed to a certain Captain Lamson. Expected wear including paper folds, some of which have been professionally repaired. Faint scattered pencil inscriptions mentioned just for accuracy. Hinged at top to a larger sheet. The document measures 7.75" x 6.5" while the larger sheet measures 8.125" x 6.75." Else near fine. Capt Lamson I send by you a Bag of 120 pair Womens shoes + 2 pair goloshes which please to deliver to Mess Reynell + Coats + call upon them for 25 Barrl Flour which I have desired them to ship me by you - I am yours, &c
