AH Allen, Hardcover 12" x 14", Limited Edition of 200 (plus 55 artist proofs). Grenfell Press on Somerset Velvet paper and bound by hand by Claudia Cohen with a silk screened cloth cover. It is nearly impossible to find this printing on the secondary market with the only other artist proof we have seen being listed for $15,000. The book contains 8 original photographs, original artworks as well as unpublished written material. All copies are numbered and signed by 41 contributors with 3 signatures signed in print (Kerouac, Burroughs and Ginsberg). Original publication price was $5,000. The proceeds benefited the Jack Kerouac school of Disembodied Poetics. A/C Editions, New York 1998. Glassine dust jacket, and housed in the custom original slipcase. This book is one of the artist proofs AP 25/55. This copy was gifted to the Kerouac Estate, and will also be accompanied by the original FedEx air-bill. Fine condition


This superb book feels like one is holding the art, the literature, and the poetry at the heart of the Beat generation. An incredible one-of-a-kind book. The typography was by Katie Mitchel and Leslie Miller, The Grenfell Press. The lithographs and endpapers were printed by Joe Petruzzelli, Siena Studios. Yoko Ono's Silkscreen was printed by Brand X Editions. Robert Frank photography, C-prints, Silver Prints, Cibachromes, Jack Kerouac's title page portrait of Allen Ginsberg, "Untitled, Photograph of Allen Ginsberg" is Copyright the Estate of Stella Kerouac, John Sampas, Literary Representative, and many other additional contributors.


Provenance: Provenance: The piece is stamped on the title page with the Jack Kerouac Estate stamp and the raised blind seal from Executor of the Estate, John Sampas. .

We do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.
