Description:

JFK Fantastic Vintage Photo During PT109 Period

A superb black and white vintage glossy photograph of John F. Kennedy during the PT109 period of his life. 8.25" x 10". Near fine with very faint flattened corner folds. Kennedy was a 25-year-old when he arrived in the Pacific and took command of the PT-109 and this important event helped to define him. For his courage and leadership, Kennedy was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, and injuries suffered during the incident also qualified him for a Purple Heart. Ensign Leonard Thom also received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal. But for John F. Kennedy, the consequences of the event were more far-reaching than simple decorations.  From the collection of Ron Hoskins, assassinologist.

A rare youthful photo of man whose life was about to take a profound turn. His path would lead him from the harrowing events of  PT109 followed by his skyrocketing climb in politics and ending with his horrific assassination.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
