JFK Assassination Day Ticket to Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce Breakfast, Beautifully Presented

A vintage entrance ticket to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce "Breakfast with President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy" which took place on November 22, 1963 just hours before the assassination of 35th U.S. President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963). The ticket, #484, is displayed within a clear beveled acrylic mount measuring 5.75" x 3.625" x .5." Expected age-related wear to the ticket including scuffs and isolated discoloration. Minor mounting traces found verso, else very good to near fine. The ticket alone measures 3.625" x 2.375." We have never seen another! Provenance: From the collection of Ron Hoskins, assassinologist.

The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce Breakfast was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Texas in Fort Worth, Texas on the morning of November 22, 1963. Approximately 2,000 attendees, mostly area businessmen, had purchased the $3 tickets. JFK arrived arrived around 9 am, a little late after greeting a 4,000-person crowd assembled in the rain outside Hotel Texas. He then delivered a 12-minute-long speech emphasizing Fort Worth's significant role in the American defense industry. His concluding remarks were in part: "So I am glad to come to this State which has played such a significant role in so many efforts in this century, and to say that here in Fort Worth you people will be playing a major role in the maintenance of the security of the United States for the next 10 years."

JFK was in Texas lobbying support for local Democratic candidates. His 2-day 5-city tour was meant to include Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Dallas, and Austin. After completing his remarks before the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, JFK flew to Dallas. He was assassinated and pronounced dead less than four hours after greeting well-wishers at Hotel Texas.
