Description:

Rolling Stones Set of 5 Sigs: Mick Jagger, Keith Richard, Charlie Watts, Brian Jones and Bill Wyman

The Rolling Stones Signed by all Five of the Original Band Members, and the original stable line-up: Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica, keyboards), Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar, vocals), Bill Wyman (bass guitar), Charlie Watts (drums) . Each signed on a lined sheet, 2.5" x 4", with one signature per sheet except Keith Richards and Charlie Watts signed the same page. Four sheets in all, loosely laid behind glass in a frame so they can be arranged in any order or design.

Few bands have stood the test of time, yet alone stayed together with the original band members. The Stones main stream popularity in the 60's had them finding their musical stride as well as popularity. In 1964 two unscientific opinion polls rated the band as Britain's most popular group, outranking even the Beatles. Oldham, their manager who was at the time all of 19 years old,  tried applying the strategy used by Brian Epstein, the Beatles' manager, and have the band members wear suits. He later changed his mind and imagined a band which contrasted with the Beatles, featuring unmatched clothing, long hair, and an unclean appearance. He wanted to make the Stones "a raunchy, gamy, unpredictable bunch of undesirables" and to "establish that the Stones were threatening, uncouth and animalistic". This culture defined the group for the rest of their nearly 60 year career.

**On 3 July 1969, Brian Jones drowned under mysterious circumstances in the swimming pool at his home, placing this as a very early set of signatures!
