Barack Obama Signed Full Title Page from "The Audacity of Hope," with JSA LOA

A full title page from future 44th U.S. President Barack Obama's book "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream" (New York: Crown Publishers, 2006), boldly signed by him as "Barack Obama" near the bottom. The double-sided page shows the book title and publishing information recto and the copyright and Library of Congress cataloging information verso. The page was neatly excised from the original bound book. An isolated yellowish stain can be found along the left edge verso, else near fine. 5.875" x 9.25." Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from JSA (James Spence Authentication) dated November 4, 2020.

"The Audacity of Hope" was published in 2006, when Obama was serving as a junior U.S. Senator from Illinois. The monograph was based on a keynote address of the same name that Obama delivered, to widespread accolades, at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. The book quickly topped the "New York Times" bestsellers list and Obama announced his presidential campaign just three months after the book was published. Obama would serve in the White House between 2009-2017.

"The Audacity of Hope" was Obama's second published book; his first, "Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance" had been published in 1995. In 2010, President Obama would release his third book, "Of Thee I sing: A Letter to My Daughters," and in 2020, fourth book "A Promised Land."

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
